When we set out to acquire a Sire for our Brood Mare band we were looking for just that-a sire. We were in the market for a Stallion with great confirmation and a disposition that would allow us to continue to pasture breed our mares. Our patience paid off, we found “Smokin Royal Robyn” a 15.2 Hand Sorrel Stallion with what we thought to be the whole package, he had the looks, the mind and was an absolute gentleman. We had the opportunity to start a few colts that were sired by “Smoke” and instantly became driven to find a prospect by him. We inturn purchased a son of his hoping it had the potential to become our next sire. With luck really going our way a year later we were offered “Smoke” to purchase. Done deal!!!
To this day we are ecstatic with our new Stallion and are enjoying the results we had predicted when we purchased him. We utilize “Smoke” around the Ranch all year round whether it be rounding up mares and colts or working with the cattle. During the winters we haul him up and down the road to ropings and jackpots always with other horses, he acts just like a gelding. We can leave him tied up with others not having to worry about a wreck.
We are about to see another crop of foals by him and are expecting to see nothing less than the past years. Like his Sire Lil Robyns Pep he is passing on his attributes and great disposition. He put on good minds, bone and substance on all his offspring and they in turn have put it into their foals, crossed on any mare.
2 x 4 Quarter Horses in Texas are a true testiment to these bloodlines. A lot of their mares carry these lines. visit their website {Here}
